Three Belgians create a sloe gin in their image:  authentic, natural, intense.

Unable to find the sloe gin of their dreams, they made it themselves, all with the help of Covid-19.

 

Yes, you read that right. The pandemic played a vital part in their recipe, helping to give Maral a uniquely intense flavour.

What makes Maral so good?

A subtle blend of citrus fruit and myriad botanicals, our hand-made gin brings out the slight bitterness of sloes without altering their finesse or flavour.

#2 FRESH SLOES 

Fresh, wild sloes, hand-picked in the forest. It’s out with the processed syrups and in with the traditional and the natural. 

#3 EXTRA LONG MACERATION

A maceration process that is 3 to 4 times longer than usual, helping to bring out the essence of the fruit and the unmistakable almond scent of the stone.

#4 LOW IN SUGAR

Added with painstaking care to offset the fruit’s natural bitterness.

To fully appreciate its unique flavor, Maral is best served on the rocks. 

Unless you prefer to add a drop of sparkling water, tonic water or your favorite bubbly.
